Ready for the future - the new SIRIUS 2.0 concept
Since its launch at ACHEMA 2022, the robot-assisted HOF SIRIUS loading and unloading system has been continuously developing. For example, cameras and lasers precisely detect the front row of the vial pack in the freeze dryer. A new transport system has also been developed to reduce particle generation.
As previously announced, we will be presenting the new SIRIUS 2.0 concept, including the innovative drive technology in hygienic design, in a live demo at ACHEMA.

Since its introduction at ACHEMA 2022, the robot-assisted HOF SIRIUS loading and unloading system has undergone continuous development.
Cameras and lasers precisely detect the front row in the freeze dryer
By integrating camera and laser technology, the front row of the vial package in the freeze dryer can now be precisely identified. The innovative combination of two cameras and two lasers makes it possible to detect both transparent and colored glass vials and to record relevant data such as the number and position of the vials, even in poor lighting conditions in the freeze dryer and changing lighting conditions in the SIRIUS process room.
New transport system - floor format parts minimize friction and particle generation
Significant progress has also been made in the area of the transport system. To further minimize particle generation, the format parts of the movers are equipped with a base. This prevents the vial bottoms from moving on the fixed guide during transport in the XTS, reducing friction.
